I was recently asked to cover an extremely special 80th Birthday Party celebrating another year in the life of the lovely Rosalind. I must admit, it is always an absolute joy to cover very special events such as these and this one was no exception. It was my first time shooting as a Hilton Hotel photographer, and the venue was stunning, with beautiful scenery and great lighting inside the hotel as well.
Rosalind chose to have only her nearest and dearest at this celebration and it was great to see how much she lit up when she arrived to see friends and family who had travelled from far and wide to celebrate her birthday with her. The speeches were wonderful as usual, with guests speaking of her incredible personality and telling stories of her kindness, strength and loving nature. When it came to the time where her daughters had to provide their speeches, there were a few teary eyes, all in the spirit of happiness and joy, love and sheer admiration.
