Capturing Weddings In Vivid Color
Hey! I’m Ky, part time photographer, full time Dad, living in Northamptonshire with my family and i am the eyes (and the heart) behind The Sage Edit!
I’m based in the UK but my soul comes alive anywhere there’s love, colour, great music and a good dance floor. If the music is hitting the right notes on your day, you can expect to see me getting down too in between shots! I’ve always been drawn to stories, and weddings, especially ones that mix cultures, styles, and traditions, are where they unfold most beautifully.
My daughter Sage is the inspiration behind the name The Sage Edit (Previously Ankrah Photography). She made me see the world in a sharper, brighter way, and I wanted my photography to reflect that same energy: bold, cinematic, and full of life.
I’m a little obsessed with exquisite cinematography; the kind that makes your jaw drop and your heart swell and I bring that same approach into my work. I’m also a huge lover of anime and manga, which probably explains why I’m drawn to bold visuals, vibrant worlds, and stories with real depth.
Outside of photography? You’ll usually find me wandering art galleries, chasing anything quirky, curating playlists (music is the centre of my life), or hunting down bubble tea. I love unique fashion, road trips in the sunshine give me instant serotonin, and right now I’m collecting rare whiskies from every country I travel to. Family time keeps me grounded, while dreams of visiting Japan and Brazil keep me inspired.
For me, weddings aren’t about stiff poses or tradition for tradition’s sake. They’re about people, their cultures, their quirks, their style, their chaos and capturing all of it with honesty and energy. Loud, joyful, stylish, messy, romantic. That’s the Sage Edit way.
